On 7 July 1945, Mayor Robert Müller informed the Alfred Gauthier GmbH on behalf of the French military government that the company premises and equipment had been requisitioned for the French occupational forces.
The dismantling of the machines and the prohibition of machine production made reorganisation of the company very slow.
