Galvanising is an important distinguishing feature for PRONTOR with respect to fitting precision and surface quality. In order to meet the high demands of our customers on the surface quality of lens barrels and shutters in the past, we have built up a broad know-how and vast experience in galvanising over numerous decades.
With two automated galvanising lines and a waste water recycling plant, we satisfy the latest standards.
GSX anodising process (to DIN 17611)
The aluminium oxide coating produces a hardness of 260-350 HV. The oxide layer provides corrosion protection and electrical insulation, is hard and scratch-proof. We anodise for you in black or colourless to reveal the natural colour of the material, with chemical or mechanical matting or gloss finish. Particular attention is paid to observance of the fitting dimensions.
Passivation of aluminium
This process satisfies both the RoHS conformity and the corrosion protection requirements to MIL 5541 and MIL-DTL-81706. Passivation is particularly well suited to improving the adhesion of paints and adhesives. Furthermore, it provides a lower surface resistance (< 0.8 mOhm/cm²) and heat resistance up to 100° C.
Passivation of stainless steels
The leaching of certain foreign metal particles and impurities improves the resistance to corrosion.
Chemical nickel coating
The magnetic nickel-phosphor coating achieved by chemical application provides very good protection against corrosion. The phosphorus content lies between 7 and 10%. A special heat treatment enables a hardness of up to 1000 HV to be achieved. A further advantage is the uniform coating application, even in blind holes and bores.
Nickel electroplating
During the electroplating process, a magnetic and corrosion-resistant nickel coating is applied.
Electrogalvanising with subsequent blue passivation
This process satisfies the RoHS conformity and provides outstanding corrosion protection. The protective layer offers heat resistance of up to 215° C. The process conforms to DIN EN 12329, Code A or DIN 50961, process group B.
