Before the workpieces reach the galvanising shop for surface finishing, they are pretreated in a variety of processes.
Cleaning of workpieces
The workpieces are cleaned chemically or with modified alcohols to remove dirt, dust, machining residues and oxides. Cleaning with perchloroethylene is also possible at our works, naturally observing all the applicable directives.
Glass bead peening and sandblasting
These two processes result in a change in the surface roughness, depending on the abrasive employed. In addition, the surface is cleaned and an improvement in the adhesion properties for bonding and coating processes is achieved.
Vibratory grinding / trowelising
Vibratory grinding deburrs, smoothes and cleans the surfaces and rounds sharp edges.
If high-gloss surfaces are required, these can be produced in our in-house Polishing department.
